All the Rowing Shells and Vikings are designated racing boats.
The first purpose of these boats is for the training for and winning of Rowing Regattas.
The privilege of training in these boats and representing the club in regattas is to be earned competitively. Schedule conflicts and race designations will be arbitrated by the Rowing Commissioner and/or Boathouse Captain.
The Rowing Commissioner must approve the use of racing boats in out-of-town regattas.
The wooden boats are available for use by qualified rowers for piloting club swims unless reserved for special racing regattas or club rowing events.
Failure to follow these rules will result in penalties at the discretion of the Rowing Commissioner and/or Boathouse Captain.
